Today was all about thanking the volunteer reading coaches of ROAR. They work with children kindergarten through third grade and make a firm commitment to give one hour a week throughout the school year. They read to the students and help the struggling readers. They have approximately 200 reading coaches serving in 20 inner-city schools in the Albany, Schenectady and Troy city school districts. They are making a difference in so many children’s lives.
